Design development

I was inspired by in relation to this project.Three aspects I’d like to employ to my design:
1, his interest in elegantly expressed structure.
2,curved structure more dynamic and interesting comparing with traditional rectangular forms.
3, his interest in elegantly expressed structure

Case study

Case study

A standard structure bay was devised to allow considerable variation in internal use and layout. Each of bays is composed of 3 parts: the curved umbrella roofs, the glazing system and the footing.

Major project

The architect I chose for this project is Renzo Piano.

The building I chose for study is Thomson Optronics Factory in Paris designed in 1988-1991. This building functioned as a military factory for both research and manufacturing. The Thomson Optronics Factory is created to fit into the site which is situated on a plateau punctuated by rows of poplars and a few scattered woods.
